Golden Eye

‘Golden Eye’ is a macro shot of ice crystals forming on the window of Casey station in Antarctica, what you’re seeing is verging on the scale of ‘microscopic’ with the whole frame being only 2mm to 3mm across and back lit by the mid winter sun for only a couple of hours per day. Some amazing and very intricate shapes and angles are formed by the ice as it slowly crawls it’s way up the window over the winter. Each picture has been processed through a different filter to add vibrant colour to the finished picture.

This product is printed in a traditional 3 x 2 format.
